Storytelling Adventures

It seems, for some of us,that the older we get the more daring... So now I´m telling stories. Who´d thought! I am making things up and loving every minute of it. Funny enough, they tell more about myself than any blog post ever will. This is one of my adventures in storytelling(I recommend the website; it´s great):

Lu,

I looooove it! I like the story and beautiful pictures. It's mesmerizing together!!! The 16 pages captured my total imagination. I was there, and identified with the white hair woman at the end. It's romantic and humorous, too. Did you paint them yourself?

By the way, the white hair woman looks young. And separately, wo in Chinese is I, and Women means we. I'm taking a Chinese lesson.

Lu, I looooove it too! What a beautiful, fun, and meaningful story. You've inspired me! It's no surprise that you are telling stories. You seem to be a natural story teller, and it sounds like you have two great collaborators :).

Yes, for some of us, it does seem we get more daring. I will soon be taking a speech class to conquer my fear of public speaking (I tried a long time ago and dropped the class). I will take my wings and holdfast. Hurray!

Hi Keiko! Did you stop your Sanskrit lessons or you´re taking them both? You know, you´re our official etymology expert now!
Glad you liked it! I didn´t make the illustrations, the names of the artists are listed there, but learning how to make my own illustrations is also on my list. :-)

Oh, those classes are very good! There are many simple things that we don´t realize but can help us a lot. Good luck! :-)
Thanks, Rebb!We all have stories, but one thing I realized about my future is that I want to be telling them from now on. If possible, I want to be that old woman by the fire, with a circle of kids around me...:-D

Lu,

Because of the trees you drew before, I thought you created the pictures.

About Sanskrit, I took only a few months, but it was intermediate course. So, I was either going to take a beginning Sanskrit course or go on to take other language class. Since I want to try to learn all the major languages beside Greek and Latin to see how they work, I had to choose one. I also want to take Portuguese. By the way, Portuguese was one of the languages used in reporting tunami. The Japanese broadcasting used Japanese, Chinese, English and Portuguese for national emergency! Anyway, I was lucky to find this Chinese class. The instructor is excellent, and the place is near. I’m excited.

One of the Chinese instructors told me today that recently one more person joined other class. The student is 78 year old man, and he is like me. He tried to learn Chinese in the past but failed. I know he is excited to learn the language. Chinese is very economical language. It’s very interesting. Besides, Japanese have advantage in learning Chinese because we know Chinese characters. It will be waste if we don’t learn.
