Lu,

Thank you for all the photos! I feel as though I took a mini tour of Europe. And I really enjoy looking at your family portraits. Such a good looking family!

The photo that said, "Really, lady you need more focus," is great! The white statue really appear to be scolding the female photograper, and she has no idea what is on top of her head. It's funny and cute.

Lovely happy pictures. In purely compositional terms, my favourite is the one of Trafalgar Square. It reminds me of a Canaletto.

I believe the statue above the lady is of Charles Darwin. The lady seems to have the picture of a child on her dress, rather than an actual child in front of her?

In a comment on your previous post you said "I love London (and I´m not just saying that, Vincent)." My instinctive inner response to that was "But Luciana, London is a foreign place to me too! I don't think of it as England."

But that isn't quite true. I worked in London for years. My London was the Tube, and the various areas around where I worked. Now, my London is Mitcham, a suburb on the southern outskirts where my mother-in-law lives.

I love and hate London. I would never want to show anyone round there. I would take them to the parts round here, for this to me is the real England!

So I look forward to all and any of your adventures, photographic or otherwise, as of a foreign country!

Keiko, as Vincent said, that is Charles Darwin. We only realized that lady was in the picture when we saw it in the computer! And then we started making up lines for the statue. Another one was "no,no,no! don´t push that button!" ;-D
Thanks for the compliment to my family!

Vincent, I feel like a foreigner in some parts of my own country as well. And I feel at home in other places beyond borders. I think it has to do with places touching some chords we have inside, much more than it has to do with languages or political divisions. I loved all the places I visited in England, and I´d like to see more photos of your England (you´ve already posted some in your blog)one of these days.
