We´re all in love with this cat here at home, so you´ll please have to bear with me talking about him for a little while. It´s been a long time since I had a pet and the first time for my family, so this is a big deal.

This is the River Maragogi, in Northeastern Brazil, about 3,400 km from where I sit now.This is the point where it meets the sea.

This region has an ecosystem called 'Mangue' or 'Manguezal' (Mangal), inhabited by various plant and animal species, among them, the crab.
